{"id":1524,"date":"2017-06-18T18:34:27","date_gmt":"2017-06-18T16:34:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.kimknoppers.nl\/?p=1524"},"modified":"2023-01-20T15:13:08","modified_gmt":"2023-01-20T14:13:08","slug":"jury-lucy-art-residency","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kimknoppers.nl\/index.php\/2017\/06\/jury-lucy-art-residency\/","title":{"rendered":"Jury Lucy Art Residency \/ Lucy Art Residency Open Talk"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Commissioned by:<br \/>\n<\/strong><a style=\"line-height: 1.5;\" href=\"https:\/\/lucyartresidency.com\/\">Lucy Art Residency<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Date:<\/strong><br \/>\n16 &#8211; 18 June 2017<\/p>\n<p>The Lucy Art Residency is a new residency program for visual artists working with photography.\u00a0The programme offers the opportunity for an artist based in Europe and the Mediterranean whose main practice is photography focused to spend two weeks in June 2017 in Kavala, Greece.\u00a0It is free to apply and the selected artist will have the opportunity to live and work in the coastal city in the north of Greece with transportation, accommodation and subsistence covered.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PERSONAL NOTE:<br \/>\n<\/strong>I was very honored to be invited as a jury &#8211; together with\u00a0Shoair Mavlian\u00a0(curator at Tate Modern),\u00a0Arsen Kalfayan\u00a0(co-founder of\u00a0Kalfayan Galleries)\u00a0and\u00a0Sara Dolfi Agostini\u00a0(curator and writer)- for the first Lucy Art Residency in Kavala, Greece. The entries were of hight quality and the shortlist was excellent. It was great to get an indepth insight of the work of winner\u00a0<strong>Sylvain Couzinet-Jacques <\/strong>and second prize winners<strong>\u00a0Klara K\u00e4llstrom and Thobias F\u00e4ldt. <\/strong>I also really enjoyed to be part of the 1st Lucy Art Residency \u039fpen Talks at the Archeological Museum of Kavala.\u00a0<strong><br \/>\n<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><strong>Thank you Maria and Nikolas and\u00a0Sylvain, Klara and Thobias.
