Programme: screening <em>Shaft (100 minutes)<\/em>, followed by a conversation with\u00a0<span lang=\"NL\">Maarten van Hinte (co-founder <em>Right About Now<\/em>), Imanuelle Grives (actress) and\u00a0Hesdy Lonwijk (film director)<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Date<\/strong><br \/>\nJuly 2017<\/p>\n<p>By directing <em>The Learning Tree<\/em>, Parks achieved great fame for being the first African American director that made a mainstream Hollywood movie. With his detective <em>Shaft<\/em> Parks introduced audience in cinemas to the world\u2019s first black action hero: John Shaft.
